Not just a chair.

Do you have that one piece in your home that has a story?. Not just any story but a funny one?. This is probably one of my all time favorite pieces of furniture that I have. It's an old rocking chair that my friend and hair dresser at the time called me about ." Hey Lisa ! My neighbor just put out this cool rocking chair on her tree belt to throw away! Do you want to come check it out?! " At the time I had a space in a flea market where I sold cool treasures.Well.... of course I jumped in my truck and took one look at it and saw it could have a new beginning a new lease on life .I mean look at that blue chippiness that alone and the detail on the back was to die for. She was a little rickety, but I went to my local fabric factory and found this cool material that pulled the blue from the rocker in the material, and I loved the bird pattern. I brought it at the time to my local upholsterer and he shored her up and gave it the new outfit to wear. This old gal is happy and so am I. Do you have a piece that has a story behind it ?
